********* and dishonest behavior from WeBuyCars (Brackenfell branch)
I would like to warn all buyers on the following ********* and dishonest behavior from webuycars. It happened to me recently where i found a vehicle at webuycars, Cape Town, Brackenfell branch - Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 3.6L. Upon us testing the vehicle it was found in good condition. I immediately engage with one of the sales reps on the shop floor asking what the process is to purchase this vehicle since it is my first time trying to purchase from webuycars. He indicated to me i had to speak to an individual by the name of Jonte Cook who is the sales executive. When i engaged with him I immediately thought to myself is this how their sales executives speaks to clients? He responded in a very unprofessional manner. Furthermore, we got to a point where he sent me the registration document to complete and then i asked him about the process of payments. On the same day when i confirmed with him that i will make the deposit payment before end of day (i even indicated to him that i would make the full payment), he then sends me an email 2 hours after our last conversation saying that one of his COLLEAGUES paid a deposit of R10k for the Jeep. I was shocked and furious since i thought that an agreement was already made between me and webuycars when i sent the registration document through and confirmed that i will purchase the vehicle and make payment. I then tried to engage with them on this dishonest and ********* behavior since i had to make funds available for the vehicle to pay in cash. They communicated to in a way that they thought nothing of me as a client and i had to just accept. The next day we tried to look for another vehicle, to my surprise when we found another vehicle to purchase they did not even consider a reduced price or even any apology towards what had happened. Thus, for any people who finds themselves in this position please contact the consumer protection agency, the more people complain officially, the better it is to force them to service the consumers better.
