*****ulent vehicle ratings
On 28 November I purchased a "Gold Rated" vehicle at We Buy Cars in Richmond. I was assured that all roadworthy issues were taken care of and as its a "Gold Rated" vehicle, there would be zero issues. When I took possession of the vehicle, the sales person pointed out the 2 roadworthy relevant issues that they overlooked, but he still managed to get their team to roadworthy the vehicle. As these were minor issues (wiper blade damaged and license plate bulb faulty), and he assured me "Gold Rated" vehicles basically have zero serious faults, I decided to replace the wiper blade and bulb at my own cost. I then drove the vehicle for 10-15kms when the Engine warning light appeared (System Check > Engine Service Now). I contacted We Buy Cars and was referred back to the sales agent to sort the issues out. I contacted the Sales Agent who said he'll chat to he's mechanic and get back to me. 4 hours later he sent me a message saying he thinks he's mechanics will just refer me to a registered RMI. Another 4 hours later and after speaking to he's manager directly, he referred me to SwedeSpeed, a RMI that only services the Volvo brand. I reminded him that he sold me a Ford, not a Volvo, (just 24 hours ago). He and he said he'll check with he's manager again and come back to me. I've heard nothing since. On 1 December I took the vehicle out for a drive and it lost power, temperature extremely high and coolant levels were empty. When I added coolant, it just ran straight out again. All these issues on a "GOLD RATED" vehicle. I am extremely disappointed in the aftersales service from We Buy Cars Richmond Branch. Less than 24 hours after taking possession of the vehicle and reporting a fault, the company basically washes their hands of everything. They lie about roadworthy tests/certificates (and who knows what else), and they have zero after sales service.
I really don't want to "paint the whole company with one brush", because I only had the experience at their Richmond Branch, but in an economic climate where everyone is under pressure, these big corporations still feel comfortable in adopting a sleazy business model. This is extremely disappointing, We Buy Cars - Richmond.

Tuesday 3 December:
No feedback by 16:40. I make contact only to be told that all they can say is that the vehicle has been collected. Sales agent will follow up and get back to me 1st thing in the morning.
Wednesday 4 December:
No feedback by 11:30. I make contact and receive a message at 13:00 that there's no feedback yet. He'll follow up with the work shop and provide feedback.
No feedback by 15:20 I make contact again only to be told that he's just got a quote and will look through it and provide feedback. After no feedback for another hour and not answering my calls, I'm sent a message that he was in a meeting but the vehicle is at the workshop being seen to.
Thursday 5 December:
No feedback by 13:00. I make contact asking if there's an estimated completion time. Reply is "Hi. Not yet.".
Friday 6 December:
08:46 I ask for an update as the vehicle has been there a week, I don't know what is wrong, who is looking at it or how long it will be.
Reply at 08:51 that the vehicle is at Bosch in Montague gardens. Sales person will follow up and get back to me. I ask for feedback again at 17:25, but no reply.
Saturday 7 December:
I call the service center where by vehicle is being "worked on" only to be told that my vehicle was there, but is no longer there. They do not know where it is and I need to call We Buy Cars to get any information.
We Buy Cars Call Centre refers me back to the sales person.
Can someone from We Buy Cars that actually knows what is going on please make contact with me?
