Terrible experience

Good day I would like to request a asset swap.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the vehicle I purchased from We Buy Cars October 2025 and to request the return of the vehicle with an asset swap for a comparable vehicle of satisfactory quality. Shortly after purchase (approximately three weeks), the vehicle's injectors failed. I submitted a warranty claim through We Buy Any Car, as they are the dealer. The vehicle was taken to DQ Auto and More for repair, where temporary seals were fitted. Once the replacement parts arrived, the temporary seals failed again, requiring the vehicle to be towed a second time to the same garage. After a further week, new injectors were installed. However, on 05 January 2026, the vehicle developed a new fault with the turbo sensor, which would probably need to be towed again. On the mechanic's advice, I drove the vehicle home without the sensor connected, but it is now performing poorly: it feels sluggish, stalls at most stops, and occasionally emits black smoke.

These repeated and escalating faults have rendered the vehicle unreliable and not of satisfactory quality, as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I have experienced significant inconvenience, including multiple breakdowns, towing costs, and time lost, as well as poor communication and service when raising claims and complaints with We Buy Cars

Given the ongoing serious issues shortly after purchase, I no longer have confidence in this vehicle and wish to exercise my rights to reject it. I request the following resolutions as soon as possible:

An asset swap for a similar vehicle that is free from faults and of satisfactory quality.

Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a full written response, including your proposed resolution, within a reasonable timeframe. I am happy to provide any additional details, such as invoices, repair records, or the vehicle's current location, to assist.

If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will escalate this matter further, including to the Motor Ombudsman or through other appropriate channels.
