Taking a customer for granted
I put a R5000 reservation for a Mercedes Benz C Class. The Sales person was a certain Dylan. I gave him all the documents necessary for a finance applications which was declined. But I'm only informed of the decline after 6 days.
I decide to call, the Sales person tells me via What'sup that he resigned the previous day. I drive in to check if I can do an application with my wife or a cash deal, I'm told the car was sold on the 5th day.
I call a certain Johan Strydom (Sales Manager), first he instructs us like school kids that we should keep quite and listen. Next he pulls the 48hr rule book on us. What was the purpose of a reservation? Why was the 48hr rule book not explained before they took my deposit?

As per the feedback provided, unfortunately, as your finance application was declined, the vehicle was sold to the client next in line for the car.
As this client’s application came in before you tried applying for the vehicle on your wife’s name, unfortunately, the vehicle was sold to him.
