Snake oil salesmen at the Jhb South Branch

I visited the Jhb South Branch three months ago, and expressed my interested in buying the Jeep Grand Cherokee on the show room, but when I came back to test drive the car a few days later someone had banged the car up quite significantly, cracking the bumper, denting the the door panel and grazing the paintwork off the door handle on the drivers side. To add insult to injury the price jumped up to almost R60 000 more than what was advertised. Unfortunately for us we got saddled with Kenned Malaka our totally *********** salesmen. After following up for a month with no solution we eventually posted a review and within days everything except the door handle was fixed. Kennet proceeded to lie to us telling us the car was ready for collection and we just had to pop in to sign the contract which had already been drafted.

Upon arrival we soon discovered that there was nobody available to assist with signing of papers and it would be a 2 hour wait before someone could "slot us in". As I read through the contract I kept discovering multiple errors with my personal details (like being put down as unmarried despite the attached marriage certificate I had sent through to Kenned), so it had to be drafted and re-signed a total of 4 times. I made mention of the door handle which was never fixed, but I again Kennet proceeded to lie stating that he'd have everything sorted within a week or two, and I could go ahead and sign the documentsto complete the sale. Those two weeks have turned into 2 months. And I still have no way forward regarding the repairs I was promised would be done and it seems my emails to Kenned are now being ignored.

Kenned's after sales services was just as dissapointing. After 3 weeks of following up about our licence and registration we eventually realised that he had absolutely no interest in assisting us further (now that the sale was closed). We were getting stopped by police constantly with our expired temporarily licence that Kenned didn't care to assist us with.

After popping into the Midstreams branch, we thankfully found a friendly sales assistant who sorted our plates out within a week. In hindsight we should have had the car transfered over there and bought it from that branch instead.

Last month (November)I was shocked to notice that the installments I'm being debuted for have been inflated and are not the same amount I signed for in the contract. I find this kind of behavior completely ********* and something that I did not except from a big company like " We buy cars".

It's very frustrating to have spent so much money on a car and walk away feeling like you've been conned car by the salesman.

I'm still waiting for a resolution on the door handle I was told would be fixed and I'm not happy about the sudden unforcesen price jump I'm now being debuted for. I have no way of contacting management and my only channel of communication with Kenned is a dead end of silence.

I'm hoping someone can at least respond to this review as no one is following up on the case I opened at the branch (*** 7) despite my numerous calls.
