Selling of rebuild and mechanically faulty cars

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the bakkie I purchased from your establishment. As I have communicated from the beginning, the vehicle has exhibited significant faults that render it unfit for use, unsafe, and financially burdensome. I must reiterate the issues in detail to stress the urgency of my request:

Starting Issues: The vehicle fails to start without being kick-started every day, a problem that has persisted since day one. This not only inconveniences me but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the vehicle.

Suspension Faults:

Front Suspension: The front suspension is severely compromised, causing the bakkie to pull to the left. This issue worsens considerably under load, making the vehicle unsafe to drive, particularly at higher speeds or on uneven roads. Rear Suspension: Despite the vehicle being rated for a 1-ton load, the rear suspension cannot handle even 200kg without producing alarming sounds and significantly affecting the vehicle's stability. This makes it impossible to use the bakkie for its intended purpose. Brake Defects:

The brakes emit a loud noise when the vehicle is loaded. More concerning, the bakkie shakes violently when braking, creating a high risk of losing control and causing accidents. This is unacceptable for a vehicle I rely on for work. Engine Malfunction: The engine misfires frequently, and the rev counter fluctuates erratically, accompanied by thick clouds of smoke. This is indicative of serious mechanical issues that require immediate attention.

Canopy Leakage: The canopy leaks extensively, making it unsuitable for transporting goods that must remain dry. This has already resulted in significant losses, as the wine boxes I transport become wet, causing expensive bottles to break. This directly affects my business operations and financial stability.

Front Bumper Damage: The front bumper is loose and shows clear signs of previous paintwork, strongly suggesting that the bakkie was involved in a serious accident prior to my purchase. This aligns with the suspension issues and further confirms my concerns about the vehicle's roadworthiness.

These issues are not minor inconveniences but major defects that compromise safety, reliability, and functionality. Furthermore, I am expected to finance this defective vehicle for a period of 72 months, which is completely unreasonable under the circumstances.

I cannot, in good conscience, continue making payments for a vehicle that:

Poses a safety hazard to myself and other road users. Fails to perform its intended function as a load-bearing work vehicle. Has caused significant financial losses due to recurring repairs and operational disruptions. The bakkie was purchased with the expectation of reliability and utility, yet it has been nothing but a source of frustration and expense. As a responsible consumer, I cannot justify keeping such a vehicle on finance for six years.

I urgently request that We Buy Cars replace this bakkie with a similar model that is in proper working condition and meets the standards of safety, reliability, and functionality. Failing this, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further through legal or consumer protection channels to seek a fair resolution.

I trust that you will address this matter promptly and work towards an amicable resolution.
