I’m writing this, being fully transparent and honest about my experience with buying a car through We buy Cars Port Elizabeth.

On the 12 May 2026 I left a message on the WBC website showing my interest in buying a vehicle, I uploaded my required documents.

I was shortly contacted by Gian Human a sale representative from the WBC PE branch, This poor man sat through all the thousands of questions and request answering me and sharing extra photos I requested of the vehicle.

I explained to him that I needed to sell my old vehicle first and he suggested giving the WBC team a chance to inspect and make a offer on my old vehicle, furthermore, helped me make a appointment on the website, I shared my appointment details with him as I was really interested in the vehicle.

I was contacted by Franco from the buying team from WBC Rustenburg. We met up and Franco was open and honest with the process and explained it all to me. WBC RTB sent me the offer which I accepted as it was reasonable and what I had expected. I explained to Franco that the money had to sent to the WBC PE branch as a deposit for the new Vehicle. Franco contacted Gian Human and they sorted all the paper work out between each other, saving me from having to do a payment from my bank account.

Gian Human explained that Candice a F&I from WBC PE will be contacting me to handle all the finance paper work.

Candice contacted me explained what is going to happen and what is required from me and document that require my signatures(all electronically)

With all document signed and money sent from one branch to another.

Delivery was organized From WBC PE to the WBC Germiston .

Gian Human took a Pre loading video just before it went onto the truck, showing that everything(wheel spanner, jack, booklets key and spare key and overall state of the vehicle).

3 day and the vehicle arrived at WBC Germiston. 36 hours later transport was booked to WBC RTB This took a few days(6 days) as the transport Company waits for a full load before they deliver.

So here is where the Story turns a bit sour but ends well.

A appointment with Kagiso sale representee from WBC Rustenburg 9/06/2026 @12:00 Kagiso was a no show, I was informed that his sales assistant will assist. This gentleman should not be working with the public, I nearly cancelled the entire sale just because of him and his attitude and the way he speaks to people.

I inspected the vehicle and found everything was in order except the jack was missing.

I contacted Gian and explained the story of the missing jack and stated the horrible experience I had with Kagiso sales assistant.

A new replacement jack was ordered and told to come back the next day to complete the transaction. A appointment was made again with Kagiso for 16:30 and I requested that I don’t want anything to do with the sales assistant. And Kagiso was a no show again and his sale assistant with the same attitude again tried his luck I told the wife lets go as I not dealing with him and once we get the to car I going to call Gian and cancel the sale.

Unannounced to me Gian had found out Kagiso was a no show(again) and knew my feeling about the sales assistant had contacted Jandre(hope I have his name correct big gentlemen with a beard) literally with seconds to spare before walked out of WBC RTB he stopped me introduced himself and said he will assist.

He offered me a seat, collected the vehicle inspected it with me, we took it on a test drive and even put a bit of diesel in it. We went in his office went thorough the check list explained the 6month WBC warranty and completed all the he could assist with. While we were busy the this he even took it to the wash bay to see if they can quickly give it a proper clean after the long transport distance it had done. He explained that Nadia the F&I lady at WBC RTB will assist with the money side of the documents. Nadia was a dream to work with.
