Roadworthy certification/ car tyres

I am utterly disgusted with the dreadful customer service I received from Webuy cars the Dome branch in Johannesburg. Despite purchasing a car on November 11, 2023, the issues began with them informing us about the expired roadworthy certificate after 60 days of issuing. On their request we promptly took the car to Dekraa for assessment on January 8, 2024, only to find out that the car failed due to the front wheel tyre tread being below the legal limit. But it doesn't end there – when we sent the report to the sales manager at Webuy Cars to replace the front wheels, they had the audacity to claim that replacing the front wheel tyres is our responsibility because we've been driving the car for two months so they not responsible for wear and tear issues. When we contested this on the basis that the delay to License the cars is not on us and that they actually sold us a car with worn out tyres and never consider that the cars was test driven prior to the sale, the branch management had the nerve to shrug off their responsibility, claiming they lacked the capacity to decide and asked us to submit a complaint to their customer service website. The sheer incompetence and passing of the buck are beyond belief. We'll definitely lodge a complaint on their customer service website as we cannot incur the cost of tyre replacement, but it's absurd that they're shirking responsibility after selling us a car with old tyres that were about to worn out and then refusing to take ownership of the situation. This level of disregard for customers is unacceptable!
