Poor Service from We Buy Cars!!

I had sold my vehicle to We Buy Cars a few years ago and it was absolute pleasure. I decided to do the same before purchasing my new vehicle this year.

Documents were signed with WBC on 31 December 2024 and my vehicle was picked up on 3 January 2025. I had dealt with both Johan Koning as well as Stuart Riddell. I also paid an Uplift NCO Fee of R1500 to We Buy Cars as I wanted my personal plates to be used on my new vehicle.

To date, I have been given the run around!! I am unable to drive my new vehicle as I have expired temp plates on my car!!

Stuart was contacted a few times and we have not received a resolution just more delays. Stuart advised that the plates were uplifted. The gentleman from the branch we purchased our new vehicle has been to the licensing dept numerous times only to be advised that they were unable to license my new vehicle with the personalised plates. It has been such an inconvenience and an absolute waste of time.

I am tired of the delay, the excuses and the lack of urgency in sorting this out. I have been advised that the admin dept is at fault. I did not pay an Uplift NCO Fee of R1500 to We Buy Cars to be in the middle of a “blame game” with different depts at We Buy Cars. I expected a smooth transaction with NO issues but I clearly did not receive this service.

I have been referring people to We Buy Cars for years and have advised them that this route is a hassle-free route. From my recent experience, I will have to think twice before using or recommending We Buy Cars to anyone.

I trust that this matter will receive your urgent attention and be resolved once and for all. I have sent both Stuart and Johan messages yesterday requesting an update and I have received No Response which I find very unprofessional.

Regards D

This matter has not been resolved.
More than a month, and I still do not have my number plates.
Unacceptable and no sense of urgency to resolve this matter. I do not understand why I paid an NCO fee. Still awaiting resolution.
