Poor customer service
I managed to buy a small bakkie in good condition at a good price. I paid cash for it but I can't drive it because the disc has expired and after TWO WEEKS WBC don't have the paperwork ready. Also their Midstream Branch is always too busy to take a call.

07 Dec 2020, 12:16So, the plot thickens. The reason for the delay is that the vehicle was previously reported ******. This fact was NOT mentioned to me before I bough the car. Now it has to go for police clearance (at my expense). Surely WBC should do all this BEFORE they sell a car?

So, the plot thickens. The reason for the delay is that the vehicle was previously reported ******. This fact was NOT mentioned to me before I bough the car. Now it has to go for police clearance (at my expense). Surely WBC should do all this BEFORE they sell a car?

02 Feb 2021, 13:40So here we are on 02 February, nearly 12 weeks (3 months) after buying the car. Still no papers and no response when I request a temporary permit. Basically WBC are forcing me to break the law by driving an unregistered vehicle.

16 Feb 2021, 07:46The matter was resolved to my satisfaction. WBC claim that the vehicle was cloned between them buying and them selling it to me and this made it impossible to register. WBC bought the vehicle back from me at the purchase price and also bought the wheels and tyres that I had already fitted.
So, all good in the end but I would have felt better had they kept me in the loop.
