Poor business practice
Had my car valued on 28 March by a very efficient and professional gentleman named Ivan. They made an offer of R95 000 for the vehicle. The offer was valid for a month, I think.
Decided to purchase a vehicle from WeBuyCars today but they needed to revalue it as the offer had expired. This is reasonable as it is 7 weeks later. Today’s offer was R75 000. They claim it has depreciated over the period of 7 weeks. The vehicle is in precisely the same condition as it was for the original valuation. It has about 500km more on the clock.
The perception created is that if you go back to them after there initial offer, they assume that you are desperate. I’m extremely disappointed in what I regard as a poor business practice.
I have asked our buying manager to look into your situation. Please confirm that you loaded your own name and surname onto the system when the first estimate was given to you? Glenda Steyn?

Here are the findings;
You listed your vehicle on our site as a 1.4 T SE model. Our initial estimate offer was R90 000. You however did not accept.
You then listed the vehicle again as a plain 1.4 T model that has a lower book value. A second estimate offer was sent.
If you are willing, you could let me know and our buyer can come to you and evaluate your vehicle. Our offers we make are estimate offers and upon evaluation the vehicle another buying offer is made based upon inspection of the car. We are still willing to look at your vehicle, should you be willing.
