DEFECTIVE VEHICLES PURCHASED I hereby formally lodge a complaint regarding three vehicles purchased from your company, specifically noting recurring mechanical defects and your failure to adequately address these issues. The last two bakkies I purchased from your dealership presented with mechanical defects shortly after purchase. Most concerning is the most recent bakkie, which has a turbocharger fault that produces a significant abnormal noise. Importantly, prior to taking delivery of the vehicle, I brought this issue to the attention of your salesperson. The vehicle was subsequently taken to your Germiston branch service centre and later returned to me with the assurance that the issue had been resolved and attributed to a fan belt. However, upon conducting an independent diagnostic assessment, it has been confirmed that the defect is in fact related to the turbocharger and not the fan belt as previously represented. Since raising this issue, I have sent no less than four emails requesting assistance and resolution. Despite this, I have received no meaningful response. Furthermore, my claim has been denied without proper consideration of the facts, including the representations made to me at the point of sale. Your conduct is in direct contravention of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, specifically: Section 55: The right to receive goods that are of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects. - Section 56: The imp**** warranty of quality, which entitles consumers to a repair, replacement, or refund where goods fail to meet the required standards within six months of purchase. Based on the above, I hereby demand the following within 7 (seven) days of receipt of this letter: 1. Full repair of the vehicle at your cost; OR 2. Replacement of the defective vehicle; OR 3. A full refund of the purchase price. Failure to comply with this demand will leave me with no option but to escalate this matter to the National Consumer Commission, the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA), and/or pursue legal action without further notice. This letter serves as a final opportunity to resolve this matter amicably
