Please be careful when buying from We Buy Cars

I recently purchased a vehicle from We Buy Cars Dome branch and was in for a shock, not even one week after driving the vehicle. The Dekra report listed items which I was prepared to fix as the price seemed reasonable considering these refurb costs. The same day after taking delivery the battery went dead and had to be replaced as the battery centre said it cant be charged and is gone. I didn't worry to much about this. A week later the vehicle started to shudder and shake upon take off, took it for a quote and they sighted a clutch replacement was needed with a cost over R7k. None of these items were disclosed or even hinted at on the Dekra report. The Dekra report actually noted the clutch to be "very good" and no issue of the dead battery was noted either. I lodged a complaint with We Buy Cars after advice from one of their managers. They responded saying these are "wear and tear" items so they cant do anything and the matter is closed. They further went and used the other faults on the Dekra report as an excuse that the vehicle needed repairs and was agreed with me beforehand, but none of those items remotely relate to the clutch issue. This is really shocking considering the clutch does not fail overnight and was brought to their attention less than 2 weeks of purchase. Not to mention I wasnt really given sufficient time ( drove less than 2kms) to test drive the vehicle as the fuel light was on when we went for a drive and the salesman asked we quickly return to avoid getting stuck. I took the salesmans word that the vehicle is in good condition and ONLY the Dekra mentioned items need attention as he seemed honest. I purchased from them in good faith but now I am out of pocket for over R8k. Sad that i purchased the vehicle for my wife to transport my kids to school and now the vehicle is standing until i can save money to repair the clutch. Please be very very careful when buying from We Buy Cars as trusting people like myself can be caught by them. Their Dekra reports do not disclose all faults as I clearly found out. Really really disappointed at We Buy Cars as the sales experience was good but I had no idea what I was in for post this.
