Pathetic After Sales Service Received, Please Be So Careful When Purchasing A Vehicle

I purchased a vehicle in June. The sales journey was a very pleasant and efficient one. The car I bought was one that seemed to be well maintained and had a full-service history. The salesman ensured me that the car will be sold to be with a COR certificate. When I went to collect my registration documents, I was informed that I needed to obtain the COR and renew my license disk on my own (due to it being a cash purchase), which I agreed to despite being told they will arrange it all for me. The car had failed the COR for the tyres and suspension faults that the dealer was aware of because a COR was done on the vehicle. After 3 grueling months later, they agreed to fix the problems, but the CRM agent only logged the suspension fault and FORGOT to account for the tyres. I was told to re-log my complaint. This was done, and a few days later my claim was rejected with the reason that tyres are a wear and tear item, and cars are purchased as is. They also asked me to obtain a quote for the two tyres, I wonder what that exercise was for if tyres are a wear/tear item. This is all after we had a verbal agreement that the car was roadworthy, and the COR certificate will be produced to me. We went as far as amending the sales agreement and removing the section that stated that it will be my responsibility to obtain the roadworthy certificate (after obtaining permission from the legal department). No ambiguity or blurred lines and they are still happy to not honour and violate the sales agreement. Asked for contact details for the person that has made this final decision, as it seems that they are not aware of the details and facts of this complaint and I get a rude, abrupt response to take it up with the Motor industry ombudsman, knowing that they probably inundated with many queries like this, and they would probably take a long time to resolve this matter. I would say make sure you review all T’s & C’s when purchasing a car from WeBuyCars, but I did, and it still made no difference. Their cars are well priced, but at the end of the day, is it really worth it???
