Not conforming to CPA
The vehicle had a major gearbox failure on 2018/07/28. On Monday I phoned Morne from We Buy Cars to inform him the vehicle brokedown. He told me to have it towed to nearest RMI service centre and have the vehicle fixed via my extra warranty that I took. I asked him if there is shortfll what then, he stated that because the car is not 6 months old that We Buy Cars will be liable. After a lengthy process with getting a quote and approval from Innovation Group, Innovation only approved the claim up to a maximum of R25000.00. Total cost of repair is R44049.37 with a shortfall of R19049.37. On 2018/09/19 I emailed Morne regarding the shorfall, he forwarded me to his manager Henry Harber. On 2018/09/28 Henry informed via telephone conversation that they will not be paying for the repair shortfall. Had to battle for the last 4 months to get the car fixed and pay the shortfall. How can they not conform to the CPA and get away with it.
