I bought a vehicle from webuycars and took possession on 13 Sept. The vehicle came with a clean dekra report and roadworthy from webuycars. I drove the car for a few kms and noticed a noise on the suspension and immediately took the vehicle to smg for inspection. I was told by smg not to drive the vehicle as it is dangerous and not roadworthy due to suspension wear and tear. SMG confirmed in writing that this was wear and tear and that damages were pre exisitng. The vehicle has been standing at smg since 15 September awaiting for webuycars to approve the repairs. I'm really concerned that webuycars was able to obtsin a clean dekra and a roadworthy on this vehicle which was not roadworthy. Further to this webuycars insisted that smg log a claim under the warranty I bought from them. This despite advice from smg that the damage was pre existing and wouldn't be covered under warranty. This was a 3 weeks process of waiting and eventually the claim was declined due to it being pre existing damages. When enquiring from innovation group the declined reason they advised that the warranty was underwritten by webuycars and that webuycars had declined the claim due to the damages being pre existing. I have all the evidence, documents and emails if required.
