MISREPRESENTATION OF INFORMATION AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I bought a car at Webuycars last year and within 6 months it had given me problems. I called them regarding the mechanic problems I had been experiencing and they told me that the vehicle’s warranty with them had expired I must call Innovation Group. The sold me an extend warranty with Innovation Group and is part of my monthly repayments. Their condition is that when a claim is made the service history needs to be submitted. When I went to fetch the car the service book was not inside the car and they knew it would be required. The car has stopped once again and requires repairs of over R50 000. When they delivered the car to me they claimed it was fine based on the papers they provided however that was misrepresentation. A car that is claimed to be in a good running condition wouldn’t require such repairs to be done. Instead of providing me with the service book I was I informed that the warranty of the car had expired they can’t help. All I want is a damn service report of the veHicle. I sent them the repairs quotation and it’s clear from all the repair work that needs to be done in that car aren’t things that had been there before I bought the vehicle. Webuycars take advantage of normal citizens and exploit them. They have no respect for the law that regulates consumer protection at all instead they’re selective in their application of the act.
