Misleading ‘Condition Rating Ready’ Claims and Poor Service at WBC The Dome & Montana
On the 21/03/2026 I went through to WBC the Dome to see a Red Ford Figo 1.4 litre in order to purchase to just to find out that it was already purchased by somebody else. Then on the 24/03/2026 I app**** for a (Condition Rating Ready) 2012 Ford Focus 1.6 TI VCT Ambiente - *** Sales Executive: Benny Nkuna who rep**** on the 25/03/2026 with a video advising the vehicle was not in a ready condition as there was a horrible noise coming from the engine. On the inspectify it didn't say anything whatsoever mechanical issues on the report - So this was dishonesty from WBC. Never heard back from Benny Nkuna to this day. Then on Thursday 26/03/2026 I app**** for a 2018 Ford Figo 1.5ti VCT Trend (Condition Rating Ready) at WBC The Dome and went through on Saturday 28/03/2026 to look at the car. I was told by Ricardo van Wyk that the car was not available as the starter motor has gone faulty and the car was indeed not in the condition advertised as (Condition Rating Ready) and that it would cost R36K to fix and the car is now not available. I was presented with the alternative option of 2 other unroadworthy cars - One car engine warning lights on, indicating potentially serious faults. In addition, one of the headlights is cracked and not functioning, and the vehicle requires two tyre replacements. The other car option was a unroadworthy car with the CV Joints torn, clicking loudly, failed, or missing. The Power Windows: Window mechanisms inoperative or jammed and the mileage high at 145 571 km. This is the service I have had from We Buy Cars. Ricardo advised that for the price range of R85000 I would only find unroadworthy poor condition cars at WBC. This has been a complete waste of my time and WBC are very misleading and untruthful with their vehicle offerings. Extremely poor, *************, and disappointing service from We By Cars.
