Misleading and false information just to get a sale.

From the get go we bought a car at We buy cars it has been a nightmare. We bought a Nissan Micra 2011 model cash and this car was given a "golden" dekra report with only one issue mentioned - a crack on the right front headlight.

Once we had the car all the issues came out, none of which was mentioned!!! Back bumper were loose, when reported, the sales manager did not want to assist and wasn't helpful at all -The operational manager took it upon himself to assist and decided to fix this with cable ties and later got the correct clips and fixed the loose bumper.

Later today we discovered a noise coming from the engine when you put the car in reverse and step on the brakes, a clucking sound comes from the engine left and right side......again no engine issues were reported on the technical checks done by we buy cars. When reported to we buy cars the best answer I got was "we cant do anything now as we don't work over weekends", when the agreement was to have the car in a proper condition as we had to leave Sunday for Nelspruit"

A third party contacted me to say she will assist in looking at the car on Sunday but no managers will be available to talk to. It was also mentioned that this may be a gearbox issue.

None of this was mentioned on the report that was done by we buy cars - a technical report that should be done on every car so that the consumer knows exactly what they are buying. There is a cooling down period of 7 days and it was mentioned several times that the consumer protection act are there to protect us - the consumer, needless to say I don't feel protected, I feel violated and mislead. Any defects or issues on the car not reported within 48 hours does not fall on we buy cars and are the clients own responsibility.

If a problem is not mentioned on a technical report that was done by an institution like we buy cars, this can be considered as ********** and misleading to customers.

This market needs a stronger regulatory body to protect consumers from misleading info and the infringement of consumer rights. We buy cars places the onus of defects, repairs and other attributing costs solely on the consumer (which needs to be reported via a cumbersome process via their website).
