Misleading and False Information
I bought a second hand Subaru Forester 2012 model, with 224 000km's mileage for R79 000. Car had a full franchise service history with all invoices and work done on the vehicle still in the glove box of the car, and was obviously well taken care of.
Dekra report stated that the only damages that needed to be repaired were the CV joints, CV boots were torn, and to replace front bushes. We based the purchase of the vehicle on this report and our personal review and test drive of the vehicle. I took it to the mechanic shortly after purchase to get the repair work done. The Subaru mechanic picked up that the Dekra reports was inaccurate, and a major fault in the engine was missed. This will eventually cause the engine to cease, and was quoted R76 000 to fix. I returned the vehicle within 10 working days to WeBuyCars. They responded to say they will not entertain the claim as it is a second hand vehicle, and that the Dekra Report stated there was an erroneous sound. But this sound was stated as part of the drive train and NOT THE ENGINE. The engine is reported to be 'VERY GOOD' thus the purchase was based on misleading and false information to the detriment of the consumer. They have ignored my emails explaining this and refuse to review it. I am well within my rights as a consumer to demand feedback.
