Misleading advertising

Really liked the DEKRA reports which convinced me to buy a second hand car. After thorough research my wife and I identified a platinum dekra report low mileage vehicle. The vehicle was advertised as a 2.4 diesel and was unfortunately located in their Durban branch (we in the northern free state) I was really at impressed with the apparent transparency of the deal and was literally two clicks away from paying the holding fee before I decided to check the pictures one more time. lo and behold the vehicle was branded a 2.8 on the hatch! I brought this to the attention of the sales consultant who told basically told me no worries the car is actually a 2.8 and a mistake was made with it's registration! He said I should let my brother (who lives in Durban) check the car on my behalf and if I'm happy pay the holding fee to start the process of having the vehicle delivered to a Gauteng branch. According to him, once there he will be able to easily assist in changing the registration information. I smelled a rat - but out of shear curiosity I contacted my brother to go and have a look. He wasn't there for 5 min and with no mechanical background was able to tell me that it seems as though the car fell off a train and the alignment of new panels was horrid to say the least. He sent photos and yes here we are - how was this missed by dekra?
