****med by Dekra gold status
I bought a Mahindra from the Mbombela branch in November 2023. The car listing indicated that this was a Dekra Gold vehicle, with no listed issues. I bought the car on the daily auction, but was not allowed to test drive before the auction, with the justification that the car was certified as Gold and therefore there were no issues to note. I picked up the car on the 29th of November and immediately the problems started. The next morning, before travelling, i stopped at a fuel station to check water and oil and found out the car had no oil. i added the engine oil and travelled with a letter given to me by Webuycars, confirming the sale and authorizing cross/border travel. I parked the car for almost 2 weeks, awaiting the car documents. When i eventually received the documents, i travelled 200km to a nearby town. on my way there, the engine switched off. i stopped the car and realised that it was losing water. i would add water, but it would come out from somewhere in the engine. I immediately called a breakdown and phoned the Mbombela branch to report this issue and let them know that i would be bringing back the car, as it had been less than 30 days since i bought car and these issues were never flagged. the car was delivered to the Mbombela branch on the 28th of December and since then its just been stories on top of stories. my request was that the car be fixed or alternatively a refund be given. I was told to log my concern online (Case number 51385) and i then received a call from Customer service, who advised that they were going to sort out my issue. The Mbombela manager then advised me in writing that the repairs had been authorized and would be undertaken soon, however this never happened. i kept following up both with the branch and through the website but nothing happened. on the 8th of February , the manager again contacted me in writing to say that the first repair had been done, but a different issue had been identified and would require further repairs and this was now pending approval. on the 16th February, the manager wrote to say that the repair had been approved and once fixed they would let me know to come pick up the car. they even told me the repairs would cost R14,000. Despite this, my car was never fixed and on the 16th of March when i again followed up, the manager told me he was no longer employed by Webuycars and gave me a new contact number. He did add that no repairs were approved and the car was never fixed, and i should just go and collect the car. I phoned the new manager (Duane) and was told that i had to go pick up the car and nothing would be repaired because the car had been driven for too long with no water and that had caused the damage. He said that a letter would be sent detailing this outcome, but as at today, 25 March i have not received anything.
I am beyond appalled at the way in which my issue has been treated, worse because for over 3 months, i have been **** to by staff employed by Webuycars, both the manager and Amarah Patel from Costumer service (who at some point phoned me to say that the refund had been approved and were surprised funds were not in my account). I paid for the car trusting what was advertised and the Dekra Gold status, but i now feel ****med. i have lost money, time and still do not have a car that works. there needs to be accountability when your employees make written claims on behalf of the company! WEBUYCARS, PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING!!

unfortunately no tangible feedback has been provided thus far. I simply received an email advising that Webuycars was trying to contact me and that the case was being closed and I should open a new one.
It is not acceptable that after 1 day of trying to contact someone, the solution presented is for me to log another case. How many times must i write the same thing on the Website. It is even more disappointing that after i responded to the email, providing alternative ways to contact me, they have gone silent. When its time to give these standard responses, they are quick, but when its time to solve issues, no one is available. A person cannot spend so much money and be treated in this manner. WebuyCars, please do better, this type of behaviour is unnacceptable!!!

My question is, does the company think it is reasonable and sound business practice to disassemble a vehicle and then leave the parts spread out on the boot. If something got lost or ******, who will account for that? How can the only response from the company be to make threats, when they are clearly in the wrong. I delivered a complete car and will not accept to take back a car that has been taken apart!!
Shame on you Webuycars!!!
