Lost R5000 to we buy cars

My horrible journey with We Buy Cars started on the 15th of March. I saw a vehicle on Auction which I wanted to bid for. I then paid the deposit and placed my bid. When I went to view the vehicle that afternoon I saw that the body work of the vehicle was not worth the buying price and decided not to continue with the purchase. I asked the salesman who assisted me at the branch (Germiston) what happens next in terms of my refund as I will not be taking the vehicle and he said "You can either put the R5k towards another car here at WBC or you can reply to the email and request a refund". We browsed around the showroom for a while but did not find anything suitable so we left. When we arrived home I sat and typed out an email requesting this refund and about an hour later I received a call from a very sweet lady named Aphiwe saying that they don't refund your money on auction cars. My ONLY option was to apply for a new vehicle within 48 hours from WBC and then she could motivate a refund for me. Wow ok.. 48 hours to make an incredibly large decision.. So after work we went to another branch (The Dome) to browse around there and I happened to find a Ford Ecosport which I really liked. The Dekra report stated that the only finding was that there was no spare wheel details because the spare wheel lock was still locked without a key, but nothing else. I then app**** for finance on the 16th of April. They say it takes 24 hours to get feedback.. HA! Joke! First communication I received was only the Friday and then finally I received confirmation that the finance was approved on Tuesday, the 22nd, BUT, the car still had to go for another check before finalizing. On Wednesday the 23rd of March I was told that the car needed fixing on the brake pads, the windscreen wipers AND the gearbox dog bone mount. NONE of that was listed on the Dekra report and now suddenly they start adding extra problems. And then I get told "We can add it onto your financing so you don't have to pay it upfront".. As if it's my issue to fix? Absolutely pathetic service and experience. I was SO excited about that car but I walked away because 1. the service was TERRIBLE and 2. I knew I would have the world of issues in future with that car. The staff are so *********** that I lost R5000 because of their poor knowledge. And to make matters worse, while at the Dome branch waiting to test drive the car I sat and watched and listened to 2 employees fighting with each other AND had a consultant tell me all about how badly they get treated there and how anal and horrible the management is. Talk about unprofessional. I am listing this complaint here and on all social media platforms as nobody can afford to lose R5000 in this day and age right after Covid. It is not fair and if I can help at least 1 person from the same situation then I am happy.
