Left in Limbo

Let's start from the initial stage of engagement.I retired from work end June 2026 and my Boss gifted me a bakkie voluntarily without any compensation.I then transferred the vehicle into my name by using all the documents given to me and received a logbook in my name.

In August I went to Webuycars in Umgeni, branch,KZN ,and valuated the bakkie of which they gave me an amount ,but I did not accept it as there was no vehicle there that I was interest in.

In September 2026,I visited the Riverhorse branch where I found a vehicle I was interest in and a young salesmen assisted me.I was told by the salesmen that that particular vehicle is in the auctionode and he suggested that we log in an bid for that vehicle of which the auctioned ended a 2pm the same day.I the win the bid, and we started all the necessary paperwork electronically.

All documents that was requested I submitted to the salesmen, but then there was an issue of getting a video footage from my ex boss stating that he voluntarily gave me the vehicle without compensation. This seems very strange to me as I'm the legal owner of the vehicle and it was iny name, insured in my name and also had a tracker fitted .If the vehicle is in my name why still ask forore Info?

I'm still driving the same vehicle and it's in my name,I even told the Salesmen ,why all of these things required when I have the original logbook showing that I am the legal owner.I called my ex Boss to ask for the Video, but he never picked up my call or even returned my call.

So why all this fuss when the vehicle is legally mine and why can't that deal go through and be approved.

I even went to Mozambique with the same vehicle and had to declare it with the logbook on the SA side and the Mozambique side,so this vehicle is still legally my own.

I have corresponded with the salesmen and since then no response, lata week he asked me for the log book,I share a scanned copy with him, and to date still no response and left in Limbo.

So now I am baffled as to know whether the deal is approved or not,so as I can redeem my monies I deposited into the webuycars app,but it's still showing in a minus for that same vehicle.

I don't know what to do now,as I have read the info that if the vehicle is not taken, then there will be storage fees and I don't know what other charges, but no one even the salesmen is not getting back to me.

Adding to the updated, the salesmen hasn't even called me back.I was promised but still todate nothing,no response . If the deal didn't go through, please tell me.I also deposit R4000 to bid on an auction for that vehicle ,but when I go in,now it's zero,so how do I claim it even get back my balance of the monies .On Monday it was sitting at -R345000,and today Zero.
