Horrible birthday present

I bought a vehicle from Silverlakes on Saturday. According to the DEKRA report there were no mechanical failures. On driving the car it lost power and thereafter started smoking from the exhaust. When I attempted to report it to customer services, I was told that I would have to log the problem online, which I did. Today, I receive a call from Webuycars, then the person hangs up. When I call customer services again, I'm told that I never logged a complaint and that I'll need to redo it, which I have done. This is the second vehicle that has given issues, and it feels like this company is just playing for time so as to not have to rectify the situation.
