Honeyed Words and Empty Promises

<p>Contacted the aformentioned company to request a quote for my car. They offered me far less than I expected, which was not a big issue, however I mentioned to them that I was not happy with their offering and would like to let them know at a later stage.</p> <p> </p> <p>The salesman, Karl Liebenberg, said that I shouldn't worry and I can back out of a deal with them at any point if I get a higher bid, all they would need to do is reverse the deposit. As quoted "there would be no issue with returning the deposit if you get a higher amount". Foolishly, I believed him. Turns out that now I have a higher offer, however what makes it worse is that the salesman, Karl Liebenberg, has taken my Motor Vehicle Registration papers as they paid the deposit.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is something he conveniently did not mention to me when the deposit was done. I continued conversing with them letting them know that I have received a higher amount and can they meet it, which they did not agree to do. After two days of no responses from any messages sent to my POC, Karl Liebenberg, I have now accepted their revised amount and am requesting a sales agreement to prevent any of the honeyed words.</p> <p> </p> <p>As I have received no correspondence from them relating to my paperwork, I think I can safely assume that it was payment for my papers, meaning I can keep the deposit? </p> <p> </p> <p>Kind regards, </p> <p>Tushya :) </p>
