Faulty Car / Bad After Sales Service

In the beginning of November we purchased an Audi Q5 from WeSellCars Silver Lakes. We received the vehicle in PE on 7 November 2017. After noticing that the vehicle is consuming a lot of oil we contacted WeSellCars to advise that we have booked an appointment with Audi to conduct an oil consumption test. On Friday 24 November the vehicle was taken in to start with the oil consumption test and was advised that we will need to drive a certain amount of kilometers before the vehicle should brought back to Audi to check the amount of oil consumed. Before I left PE the car started to “mist” so I went back to Audi, where it was discovered that the spark plug is giving issues as it is covered in oil. Audi replaced the spark plug and advised that we still need to finish the oil consumption test. Just before arriving home the car started to “mist” again.

Contacted Audi and they advised that we should rather not drive with the vehicle further. We had the car towed in to Audi PE on 27 November, to have the car stripped to see what the problem was (which WeSellCars agreed to cover). We received the quote for the replacement of the 4 pistons on the vehicle on 6 December 2017, and WeSellCars instructed Audi to submit this claim to our warranty, delaying the repair of the car further. We are still waiting for the warranty company to approve the claim and we are not getting the feedback we are requesting from WeSellCars.

Hi Philippus,

I have received feedback from Shaun Lonn, our Sales Manager, and he has advised that he spoke to you and confirmed that the authorization has been given to Audi to do the repairs and that you will receive your vehicle before, or on, Friday the 15th of December, when you will be able to go and collect your vehicle.

Should you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.
