Dont Trust webuycars, even with a Platinum Dekra report

I purchased a 2016 Ford Focus in Jan 2024 advertised as a 1.5l model. Vehicle had a platinum Dekra report and for all appearances was clean for its age. In Sep 2024 the engine blew, i took it to mechanic and was surprised to learn it was in fact a 1l ecoboost engine an not a 1.5 as was advertised and specified on my purchase invoice. I lodged a complaint through webuy customer service and was allocated a service agent named John. My primary complaint being false advertising of the vehicle when it was advertised and sold. I made it clear that i have suffered damages and financial loss a. the 1.5 model can be sold for more than the 1.0 model and b. the cost of the repairs. And i would put the matter to rest if they paid for the repair. I supp**** a repair quote. John then responded with a legal letter stipulating they had investigated and stated i have no claim, in short, the terms & conditions i had signed when purchasing the vehicle waives them of any liability, and that 6 month warranty in terms of consumer act is expired. So in short, they **** (misrepresented) the engine size of the vehicle and threw legal letters at me to get me to go away. I got some legal advise and drafted a response claiming my original point of misrepresentation of goods where the 6 month warranty does not apply, which i emailed on 30.09.2024, i have sent follow up emails on 01.10.2024 and on 08.10.2024 and to date have not even received even acknowledgement let alone a reply. John has now gone radio silent. It appears his job is done and they are not interested in engaging any further.
