Don’t buy from We Buy Cars! Ever! ***)

My partner recently traded in her SUV and purchased a replacement vehicle via WeBuyCars at the Dome.

Before making a decision we checked the Dekra reports on a few vehicles she was interested in to make sure the vehicle she was purchasing was free of any issues and the engine was in running order.

Once we took ownership of the vehicle we noticed numerous issues with the vehicle that were not disclosed in the Dekra report that make the vehicle not safe to drive. She contacted the sales rep(Daniel) when we got home and sent a list together with photos of the issues that were not disclosed and requested he take this up with management. His response; ‘The report is only a roadworthy report’ and to load a concern on the website and head office will get back to us. We requested that the vehicle we traded in not be sold until the matter has been resolved, but they sold the vehicle anyway.

To date we have received 3 calls from 3 different call agents with the case being transferred from person to person as nobody wants to deal with the matter. Information and photos of the issues have been sent more than once without any attempt to resolve the matter.

True to their brand name, ‘WeBuyCars’ are only interested in buying cars. Maybe their staff need a refresher on their brand promise before selling vehicles. Instead they hide issues from customers to make a quick sale and wipe their hands clean ready for the next smoke and mirrors show with their next victim.

‘WeBuyCars' brand promise revolves around providing a seamless and efficient experience for buying and selling used vehicles, leveraging technology and a customer-centric approach. They aim to offer exceptional value and prioritize customer needs throughout the process’.

However you look at it WeBuyCars are still used car salesmen behind a big name. Customer-centric approach my ass!
