Do not buy from We Buy Cars

I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of accountability from We Buy Cars. I purchased a vehicle from them in March 2025 that was sold as 'inspected' and 'roadworthy' according to their Dekra report. This report was a total fabrication—the car has major mechanical and electrical faults that make it unsafe.

Under Sections 55 & 56 of the CPA, I have a right to a vehicle that is of good quality and free of defects. Instead of honoring my right to a repair or refund, We Buy Cars is refusing to even meet with me, hiding behind the 'go to the Ombudsman' stall tactic.

Given their recent multi-million Rand fines from the National Consumer Commission (NCC) for these exact 'unfair' practices, you would think they’d learn. If this isn't resolved immediately, my next stop is a formal complaint to the NCC for *****ulent misrepresentation regarding the Dekra report. Avoid this dealership, the 'peace of mind' they sell is a lie
