Disgusting service and behavior
I would like to share my frustration with fellow South Africans about the unacceptable service and behavior my niece received from We Buy Cars. She saw a car a week ago and on Thursday of the same week the guy asked her to send in her information to apply for finance. Everything was sent through Thursday night. The guy, came back on Friday to say they could not open the attachments, we then sent the application again , still in the morning. The guy confirmed receipt of the application and advised that the finance department was busy with the application. The weekend passed, on Tuesday morning I went in to check on the car on their website, it confirmed that a deal was in progress. We remained hopeful that soon we would hear from them regarding the outcome of the application. Today, my niece followed up again, the guy, sent her a vague message saying that there is already someone working on the deal. An hour later he calls to tell that the car has been approved for someone else, he lies to her and tells her that he also didn’t know there was a pending deal on the system and worse he tells her that their finance department did not even work on her application.
This is unacceptable behavior and unfair treatment and discouraging to a young female who just had a week of sleepless nights dreaming about her car and planning for her car. It would have been her first car. This is discouraging and disheartening.
We had so much faith on We Buy Cars being new in South Africa and taking the market by storm. However with such discriminating behavior, we are questioning the motive of the company.
What is their customer approach and do they know about customer centricity ? Was Rob not supposed to communicate with my niece prior to raising her hopes high that there was another deal in progress?
Was there ever a deal in progress when my niece submitted her application or do they ha e other motives for good cars with low kms?
Is this acceptable?
