Disappointed with We buy cars

After having a truly fantastic salesman at WBC Centurion/Midstream, well done Sheldon, your service was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Would give you 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately wanting to do a straight trade in on a vehicle of the same value (the vehicle we wanted to buy had a few body and mechanical issues (including engine light being on and car smoking) which we were prepared to accept), the buying department insisted that our current vehicle was worth more than 20k less than what we paid for it. Our vehicle is in good condition, mechanically sound and has full service history. When we asked the lady what they would sell our vehicle for, she informed us it would be sold for 45k, no where is there the same year, make and model vehicle for that price!!! Insanity! This is the second time we have had an issue with WBC over the past few years...what a *******! The vehicle we wanted has been in stock for a while and with the trade in they surely would have sold our car faster as it is a popular, sought after vehicle. The sales department and buying department should really communicate with each other, the buying department didn't even know which vehicle we were interested in. So angry and disappointed!
