Deposit forfeit
I paid a deposit on a R288K car , but due to technical circumstances out of my control, could not have all the funds released in time. I offered to buy some other car/s for R120k , but was informed that I lost my deposit ..<br> I didn't plan to lose R5k , or to waste their time. The R288k car was sold in hours . Have mercy please!

We made very sure that you are aware of the exact terms of this transaction.
We kept the vehicle for you on hold for 5 days as agreed.
We only heard from you on day 7, saying that you can't proceed with the transaction, but that you can settle for another car as long as it is R 120 000 or less.
We had to remove the Porsche out of stock and keep it for you on hold for a week.
And you expect us to make an exception in your case and have pity on you and wave the indirect losses we suffered and just pay you back your deposit?
Coincidentally you were the second person to default on this arrangement on the very same car.
We have to protect ourselves against these situations, but we also need to accommodate the clients needs.
We went out of our way to help you as it stands.
You were well informed and warned.
You knew.
Now you make us sound like monsters and yourself an innocent victim.
Yes these are hard lessons, but it is no reason to complain on a consumer forum, it is just the way the cookie crumbles if you take your chances, run your risks, and the odds turn against you, then you can't blame the croupier for not paying you back your money.
