Customer bullying

Good day

I am reaching out again to emphasize the severity of my situation, as I feel that I am being treated unfairly and held at ransom over the vehicle I purchased through We Buy Cars.

From the moment I drove the vehicle off the dealership, I experienced both mechanical and cosmetic issues, including a serious suspension problem (front and back), engine issues, and a leaking canopy. These issues became evident within just 30 minutes of taking ownership of the car. I immediately reported the matter and began communicating with internal staff. After several back-and-forth interactions and being required to obtain repair quotes, the vehicle was eventually collected for repairs.

It has now been over two months, and despite continuing to pay the monthly installment, the car remains unusable. I requested cancellation of the purchase, and while this was agreed upon, I am now being asked to pay a fee for mileage. This is deeply unfair, particularly as over 40% of the mileage was incurred during trips made specifically for repair-related matters at the dealership's request.

I believe that this situation is unjust, and I am appealing to your office to urgently address this issue. Additionally, I am escalating this matter to Wendy Nola, a legal consumer expert, as I feel that my rights as a consumer have been disregarded.

To Wendy Nola: I purchased this vehicle through finance and started experiencing mechanical and cosmetic issues within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership. Despite immediate communication and subsequent collection for repairs, the matter remains unresolved after two months. I continue to pay installments for a vehicle that I cannot use. Furthermore, the dealership’s demand that I pay a mileage fee—despite much of the mileage resulting from their own repair process—is both unreasonable and exploitative.

I kindly ask for your intervention to help resolve this matter in a fair and timely manner.
