CONCERN/DISAPPOINTMENT
I bought a vehicle in WeBuyCars(Gqeberha) on 09 May 2024 and according to the DEKRA report there were only two problems with it, a cracked windscreen and a loose steering. On my way approaching home the car broke down. I called and reported the issue. I was told that there is nothing they can do at the moment, therefore I should tow it and take it to the nearest workshop to conduct a strip and quote my money will be refunded.
I did as per agreement and gave them two quotes, a brand new gearbox and a second hand gearbox. I then again waited for them to make a decision as to whether will they refund me back all the money that I have used or fix the problem.
Weeks went by and they asked me to then again tow the vehicle from the workshop to my house. I did so again, and on top paid a hug storage fine due to their up and downs. I made various phone calls threatening to expose them on X-REPO MojaLove and also wrote to the moto industry Ombudsman, that's when they reverted back to me saying that they will only assist me with not more than R12 000.00 to buy a gearbox.
Due to not wanting to debate anymore, I agreed. As I'm speaking to you now I'm in the third month waiting for them to send the so called R12k either to me or the workshop, mind you that the gearbox of a Jeep Cherokee is scarce. They came back to me saying they are waiting for their lawyer to draft a MOA.
I am really not satisfied with WeBuyCars services and lies. I urge people not to ever trust what is stated on the Dekra report as it is absolutely a blatant lie.
