I purchased a “certified” financed vehicle from We Buy Cars, expecting it to be roadworthy and safe.

The vehicle was received with a broken door handle that made it unsafe in an emergency. I question how a certified vehicle passed inspection in that condition.

Shortly after, the vehicle began overheating and the tail lights started fogging up. Due to parts not being available and ongoing issues, I cancelled the deal. Despite this, I was told I would be charged for kilometres driven — even though the vehicle was not in a roadworthy condition when supp****.

Almost a month after cancellation, the bank still deducted an instalment. The dealership has not accepted responsibility for this.

Out of desperation, I then took another “certified” vehicle from the floor. This vehicle now has:

A leaking sunroof

Clutch and gear problems

Brake shudder

I was told by the a agent that this is normal for a vehicle with 130,000 km. I strongly disagree. A certified vehicle should be safe, functional, and compliant with the Consumer Protection Act.

I am now financing a vehicle for 5+ years that has multiple defects.

I would appreciate urgent intervention and a proper resolution.
