Beware of webuycars

I've heard good things but my experience was anything but that. We arrived at 9am and they said we'll have to wait an hour or two while they do the roadworthy and what else. After two hours we asked the salesman what's going on and let me say I haven't been ****/deceived like that in a long time, every time there is another story as to why it will only be another hour.

The car had a Golden Dekra sticker on it, so deemed roadworthy but haven't gone through it . I though all was good, it took me a while to figure everything out about the car and how to switch on what. I checked the rear fog lights and one didn't work. I was tired of the sticker so I peeled it off and underneath the sticker was a chip that cracked from one end to the other and underneath that sticker was the older Dekra stickers which was green, they supposedly services the car to get it to golden but all they did was an oil and filters change basically.

The car should not have passed the roadworthy, they wouldn't have seen the cracked windscreen, but the fog light not working alone is a fail on the roadworthy. Someone did a pre-checklist and said there was a spare wheel, upon inspection with the lady we noticed the spare wheel wasn't there.

This is the only part where they had good customer service. A manager was called and he organised me a spare wheel, and gave the car a free valet for the inconvenience. They also replaced the battery as it was dead when I wanted to take the car for a test drive. I told them I am coming to buy the car on Friday, they only went to get a battery when we were there. This could have been done before I came and everything else they needed to do to get the car ready for me.

The paperwork went fine and I didn't have a problem with that, he was very helpful.

That's all, the rest was bad, especially all the excuses why it's taking so long to get the car ready from the salesman, I won't mention names but he is full of bull****.

I told them I'm coming Friday maybe two or three days beforehand. We arrived at 9:00 and only left around 15:00 maybe a little later. I almost got to a point where I wanted to tell them leave it, they can keep the car for waiting so long and there wasn't any reason given why we needed to wait so long. After 2 hours of waiting we were told we maybe need to wait just an hour and it'll be ready, every time it was just another hour.

I was ok with the rear fog light not working, I can replace that but when I peeled off the sticker and saw the chip and crack I decided to go to them and find out what's going on but it went exactly the way I thought it would. The chip that cracked is my fault, the rear fog light not working could've happened when I had the car which I highly doubt. I knew they wouldn't accept the fact the car was sold like that and I paid a lot for it. It should not have those faults.

The only advice I can give if you decide to buy a car from there, check everything yourself before you leave with the car. With the pre-inspection we never checked the rear fog lights and couldn't see the chip with crack as there was stickers all over where it was.

Do a thorough inspection yourself, every detail of the car, even if you don't know what the electronics inside the car means or does, let them tell you and check it or figure it out yourself. Check all lights, check everything on the car is in working condition especially with the golden stickers.

Otherwise I am very happy with the car, the salesman and having to wait over 7 hours is ridiculous especially since they knew I was coming to get it, I put a reservation on the car so I was serious about getting it. I don't know what they did in those 7 hours and wasn't told or ever given a straight answer. I have heard they are good that's why I went there but that was not the case.

The salesman should be demoted to the lowest position they have available, he is full of stories and excuses.

I will not recommend webuycars to anyone after this experience. If they had the car ready and we did the paperwork and waited a little while and received straight answers it would be a different story. They went from reputable for me to stay away. The only reason people have a good impression of them is good marketing.

I had to take my car to the cars brand dealership to help with the radio head unit and they asked me where I got the car from and how it passed a roadworthy. They didn't want to speak badly of webuycars but they said in a very nice way what I experienced is almost the norm there.

So keep this in mind if you decide to go there. I got my car from the dome. I'm very happy with the car but I paid a lot for it and it shouldn't have been sold like that but because I left with the car and after that if you notice anything that's wrong, they will say it's your fault and to deal with it. So I cracked a windscreen and popped a rear fog light in the short time span I had the car. I noticed the fog light quite early but wasn't really too bothered about it as I'll just replace it myself but when I took the sticker off and saw the chip and crack on the windscreen I was upset and decided to drive there and find out what's up with that and why did they stick a golden sticker over the older green sticker, their service didn't include anything to do with lights or the windscreen to change from green to gold. Plus I don't know how the car passed the roadworthy with a non working light.

I phoned the place and asked if I bring a car for a roadworthy and the rear fog light doesn't work and there is a chip that cracked they said no, all lights should work and the windscreen should have no cracks, I should've asked will it pass with a chip on the windscreen but that slipped my mind. I guess getting a car through a roadworthy depends on who you pay.

This was a long review and rant but I think people should know this.
