Bad Service at We Buy Cars Mbombela

On 22 March 2023, I paid a holding deposit for a car at We Buy Cars Mbombela, Proforma Invoice was also sent to us, I spoke to Sizwe a sales person in Mbombela who was very helpful, I also told him that I will be coming with my wife to collect the car and make a payment of the balance, I booked a one way bus ticket for my wife and I for the 23rd of March, we then went to Mbombela to collect the car.

To my surprise when we got there we were told by the manager (Hannes) that the car is broken, with a don't care attitude, I asked him if he can maybe advise what was wrong he said, fuel pump, I asked if they are planning to fix it and how long will it take, he just bluntly said he doesn't know, if it will be fixed or not, when, and how long it will take, with a don't care attitude, and left us there on the floor, sales person was also not sure what to say or do, he tried to check for a other car with no luck.

We had to see ourselve and come back to Gauteng, we couldn't sleep there cause we had no money for that, we couldn't find a bus, we had to find our way to a taxi rank that we didn't know, we were not even sure if there were taxis to Gauteng, but luckily we found the last taxi to Gauteng leaving at 17H30, we got to Gauteng just after 22H30 and we had to make a plan to get home, I never felt so betrayed and our lives were put on risk by this whole situation.

I am sure We Buy Cars could have told us the previous day that the car was broken and not to come for nothing, because they did mention that it broke the previous day, the least that they could have done was to show some humanity since they knew we came from far.

Can at least We Buy Cars pay us our traveling money R1500.00, this whole thing could have been avoided by communicating.
