Bad service
I bid on a bike on auction at the nelspruit branch. There was no dekra report or any report of any kind of the condition of the vehicle. So I assumed nothing is wrong with it. Their policy states a report will be given of what needs to be fixed etc.
Once I won the bid, I drove to nelspruit from Pretoria to view the vehicle on Saturday the 17th of September 2022. I saw it had been dropped on its side (obvious scratches), and there was some sort of plastic welding done on the dash of the bike. The back breaks were also finished. The bike desperately also needed a service because the last service was done 2 years ago. I spoke to the sales manager Arno and told him about all the defects that were never listed on the auction site. The pictures also had no close ups so one couldn't see the defects in the pictures. We came to an agreement that these costs would be included in the price.
Now Monday the 19th i get a whatsapp message from the sales rep saying the branch manager declined the discount. Apparently sales manager Arno is not working today.
I asked for the branch managers name and for him to just give me a quick call any time today. I got no name and was told "he is unavailable most of today and will probably not call me."
So who ever the branch manager is at Nelspruit branch, I feel like hiding your identity behind a sales rep and not being able to have a quick call with someone who won an auction to buy a vehicle and put in the effort to drive 700km to come view the bike, is very bad service.
A call is the least you can do.
