Awful customer experience @ WeBuyCars, Gqeberha

I had an awful and unsatisfactory customer experience at the Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) We Buy Cars branch. Bought a vehicle on their Online auction platform, which requires all bidders to pay a R5000 upfront fee (Refundable within 72 hours, as per their policy) to gain access for bidding online. I "won" the bid and was instructed to proceed to the branch to pay the balance and get the vehicle there. Upon arriving at the branch the car could not even start, and the salesman together with the mechanic on site informed me that I had to personally purchase new plugs and cables on my expense and the mechanic would do me a "favour" by fitting them. I expressed my dissatisfaction and ordered the salesman to cancel the deal and process a refund of the R5000 I paid.

2 weeks later I have not received my money and after being sent from pillar to post with "managers", who answer their phones we they want...

Sales is not just about price, rather about the product and service experience holistically.
