AUCTIONS - BEWARE OF MISLEADING DEKRA REPORTS

I completely agree with the complaints raised by Melish P on 06 October 2021.

On 10 July 2021, I bought a VW Amarok at an online auction with Webuycars, JHB SOUTH.

I based my offer on a Dekra report that was made available online. Within a week of taking delivery, the following faults were reported by the driver. -heavy petrol smell in the cabin -oil leak at bottom and oil leak at the tappet cover -turbo not running smoothly -engine misfires -all 4 shocks worn

It was decided to take the vehicle to a VW dealership to evaluate and quote for the complaints. The quote came to R 89,000.00

On the Dekra report made available during the auction, the following engine issues were listed. -engine oil leak -prop shaft coupler damaged

1. If I knew the cost of the repairs I would not have purchased the vehile 2. The Dekra report is a false representation of what I was buying 3. Webuycars easily throw the book at you with all the documents you have signed, referring to clauses without taking ownership of the complaints.

Webuycars advertises transparency but it is clearly not the case.

After buying several vehicles on auction over the years (not from Webuycars) this deal takes the cake for being caught with a slack belt .
