Appalling service and devious railroading tactics by document processing staff with poor management supervision.nt

What a nightmare buying a car from them online. I bought a car from the Montague Gardens branch a year ago and all went without issues but on 11 July 23 I registered online to buy another vehicle from the Midstream branch and little did I know what a nightmare I was going to experience. My online registration went smoothly except that I noticed that there was no place to enter my company registration number under my company name, yet I was asked for my ID which didn’t seem relevant to the purchase I was about to make. After making many phone calls to find out where to submit my company's FICA documents for this registration and auction, and to request to make a payment of the online bidding deposit, I received the following information from the consultants that could not provide me with any contact number or email address of a senior person to address my concerns that they seemed unable: 1) You can only make a deposit payment through OZOW (a website portal new to me) that required me to provide my banking login details to them on complete trust that this would not be misused in future or that proper security and hack-proof measures were in place to protect these details. 2) The portal was not accepting FICA document uploads and I would be sent an email requesting my company's FICA documents once my deposit was made. 3) I could bid on multiple vehicles with one deposit payment but would have to buy all successful bids. 4)All vehicle bids closed at the same time making it difficult to determine which were unsuccessful in time for a person to bid on an alternative vehicle in the same auction if they were unsuccessful with a specific bid and only wanted one vehicle. 4)There were other affirmations made but currently irrelevant. I subsequently opted to pay the deposit from my private bank account using OZOW and change my password afterwards. At 11:54 (after paying my deposit) I received a long, detailed email from WBC of the processing steps I needed to follow, starting with making my bid, being contacted by a representative and followed by submitting my FICA documents, so I followed their required procedure and stopped asking about my required FICA submission. I won a bid on a vehicle at 13:00 (auction close). Shortly afterwards I received an email with an attached proforma invoice that stipulated that I need to pay the balance using OZOW also. I immediately contacted their only available support number again to object to this forced "unsafe" payment method and they graciously told me I could pay into their bank account noted on the bottom of their proforma. The email stated "You will be required to provide the following documents when collecting the vehicle: a. Your ID. b. Valid driver's licence. c. Proof of address (not older than 3 months). d. Proof of banking details. e. Proof of payment (full purchase price = registration fee + outstanding balance). So once again, no request for my company details for the invoice. I failed to notice that the proforma was made out to me personally and not my company as listed on my bidding profile. As mentioned by the “call centre agent”, a gentleman called Duan (incorrect spelling I assume) contacted me to say he would be assisting me in processing my purchase, but I had already sent my representatives to the branch to collect the vehicle and do not know who they were dealing with. When WBC asked for my signature on one document, I pointed out to this assistant that the vehicle needed to be registered in my company name and not my personal name and he made a big issue of it, but after consulting with someone else eventually said that this was acceptable if they did not do the transfer of ownership themselves, but I did the paperwork myself. I very explicitly indicated that it was OK as long as the vehicle was sold to my company by We Buy Cars and the transfer of ownership forms reflected this, not sold to me and then I would have to transfer it from my name to my company. All was verbally agreed. After jumping through hoops to send them my company FICA documents and some personal documents I thought unnecessary like my driver's licence via WhatsApp, because they couldn't provide me an email address, they sent me an incomplete vehicle release checklist that they DEMANDED I sign as is. Of course, I refused. After much frustrating interaction with the WBC consultant, it ended up that my representative had to beg him for information for my representative to fill in this document because the consultant was adamant that "that is the way they do it" (incomplete documents forced to be signed). How can WBC force clients to fill in release documents that have no vehicle name, number, condition checks or anything on it, ... why, so you can dodge company responsibility by filling it in when someone returns with a complaint about the vehicle? Not OK. This consultant was identified by my reps as Yasin Ebrahim. Thereafter it took nearly an hour to process the documents before I was sent the transfer of ownership documents to sign. THEY WERE INCORRECT. Despite all the time I mentioned to ALL the involved parties the documents were filled out to be sold to me personally. I once again asked Yasin to please correct this mistake so I could sign the forms. The answer came back "NO". This is when a little boy needed a "talking to"! I called (by phone) the consultant and politely explained that either he or a former assistant had agreed to provide me with the correct transfer of ownership forms if I agreed to sign a form saying I would handle the transfer of ownership paperwork, and this form provided to me now was not in accordance with this agreement. He said he could do nothing to resolve the problem and I could cancel the deal and lose my deposit if I chose. Of course, I did not take this lightly and mentioned that it was their fault their company/personal identification was incorrect and who I had spoken to about this throughout the entire purchase process. He continually interrupted my communication and was clearly not listening to my concerns. I told him to keep quiet and listen to his customer first, then he would have a chance to respond which he eventually did. He was unable to rectify his mistakes in processing and I therefore instructed my representative to consult a manager to sort out this matter. The situation now stands that I have paid for a car that has not been released and We Buy Cars has not provided me with the correct transfer of ownership forms. I have since been informed by my representative who was sent away without my car that the entire sale process will have to be repeated tomorrow. I hope the representative we get tomorrow is not as rude (he blamed me for taking 6 hours of his time to process the documents today, can you believe it), misleading, impolite and disrespectful as the one/ones we had today and hope We Buy Cars does not try any other railroading tactics that I experienced today. This may be the last time I buy from them.... let's see what tomorrow delivers!

Dear Respondent.
It is now 12:10 on the 13th July and I am still waiting for someone to contact me. At roughly 10am this morning my rep was sent a new blank form that we had already filled in yesterday in the exact manner it was supposed to be filled in and now we are requested to repeat the cycle. This is pathetic service. I have given WBC my contact details and have asked for WBC to deal directly with me, use the forms that were correctly filled in by me yesterday OR transpose the information to any new forms you would like completed and I'll happily sign them but please do not start the same waste of time process as yesterday with me directly again today, .....AND please get someone to contact me to let me know what is going on, what you may be busy with or how long it will be before I can expect papers to sign again.
