Accident-Damaged Vehicle Sold as “Excellent Condition” with Invalid Warranty

I am deeply disappointed with my experience after purchasing a vehicle from We Buy Cars on 28 November 2024, along with an extended warranty from Innovation Group. The Dekra report provided at the time of sale gave the vehicle a Platinum status, describing it as an "Excellent Vehicle"—which gave me confidence in the quality and condition of the car.

On 29 May 2025, the vehicle started leaking water. We took it to Nissan, who informed us that the vehicle must have been in a serious accident in the past. The chassis is bent, so badly that they cannot fit a new radiator. This is a structural issue that cannot be explained by regular wear and tear.

We submitted a warranty claim with Innovation Group, but the claim was rejected, with the reason given that the radiator was deformed due to rubbing against the bent chassis—damage that clearly stems from a pre-existing accident. This is not a warranty-related issue; this is a matter of being sold a vehicle under false pretenses.

When I called We Buy Cars, I was told by Palesa from Customer Service that the car was "one day over" the six-month protection period under the Consumer Protection Act, and that there was nothing they could do. I was further advised to contact the Ombudsman if I was not satisfied.

What I fail to understand is:

How a vehicle with significant structural damage passed a Dekra inspection as an “excellent” car?

Why We Buy Cars sold this vehicle without disclosing its accident history?

Why an extended warranty was sold alongside a vehicle that should never have passed quality checks in the first place?

Why no one is taking accountability now that the vehicle’s true condition has come to light?

This is not just about a warranty or a technical issue—it is about misrepresentation and lack of accountability. I feel completely misled and unprotected, and now I am stuck with a structurally compromised vehicle and no support from either We Buy Cars or Innovation Group.

I am requesting:

A full investigation into the vehicle’s accident history and Dekra certification.

Accountability for selling a vehicle in unroadworthy condition.

A resolution in the form of a refund, replacement, or full repair at the seller’s cost.

Should I not receive a fair resolution, I will escalate this matter to the Motor Industry Ombudsman, National Consumer Commission, and share my experience across multiple platforms to warn other potential buyers
