Accident Damaged Vehicle - No Help from WeBuyCars
I recently (Aug '22) purchased a Ford Ranger 4x4 from WeBuyCars. What initially felt like a relatively seamless and transparent process was very quickly turned on its head when 3 weeks later the vehicle ceased starting altogether.
Being a 'new' vehicle (6,000 km's on the clock, 2021 model) and for which I paid full price, I was shocked and frankly livid when (after having the vehicle towed to Ford via flatbed trailer for assessment) Ford provided me with feedback that the vehicle had previously been in an accident, and submitted numerous photos very clearly evidencing the internal repair work purportedly completed by a panel shop.
On purchase, the vehicle was issued with the customary roadworthy certificate and a detailed Dekra report - the latter providing absolutely no indication of previous damages and internal work performed on the vehicle, even though the evidence of such work was clearly highlighted to me by Ford.
I have since instituted a complaint and full refund request with WeBuyCars, but the lethargy with which WeBuyCars operates in these instances cannot be exaggerated. In what is inarguably an open-and-shut case, WeBuyCars continues to be unresponsive and seemingly unfazed altogether at resolving a very clear issue caused through no fault of their once-favored customer.
WeBuyCars should prioritize and focus on their customer service levels for material after-sales issues, and endeavor to operate with some intent so that other customers don't have to experience this level of extreme dissatisfaction.
Just a gentle follow up now that it's been two weeks since I originally posted and you responded about investigating the matter (side note: nobody from WeBuyCars contacted me in response to this post).
It's also been 8 days since the vehicle was returned to WeBuyCars.
I am still without a refund. Also, unsurprisingly, nobody from WeBuyCars is able provide me with an update on my cancellation and refund process.
Suppose the joke is on me.
