A-Rated Car Overheating after two weeks
Their website featured a Dekra report that reassured me I could trust them. I purchased a Jeep Cherokee with listed as A-rated, and the Dekra report indicated that the engine, gearbox, and drivetrain were in very good condition. Given my previous experience, I believed I wouldn’t face overheating issues, especially since the report stated the engine cooling system was also very good. However, after driving the car for two weeks, I noticed the temperature rising beyond normal levels. I promptly informed WeBuyCars and reached out to the salesman who assisted me, waiting for their feedback on the situation. The discrepancy between the Dekra report and the car's overheating issue raises concerns about its accuracy and the transparency of WeBuyCars. I feel let down, especially considering my trust in a well-established company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. After investing my hard-earned money to purchase the car outright, I am disheartened by how this has unfolded. On September 16th, the car broke down on my way to work, and I had to have it towed to Bosch Services in Lephalale. They suggested stripping the car for a repair quotation, I sent the stripping quotation to WeBuyCars. However, they denied all responsibility, citing that I signed the sales agreement. I signed it based on the trust I placed in the Dekra report, which stated the engine cooling system was very good. Unfortunately, this appears to have been misleading, given the overheating issues I’ve faced.
