A Nightmare of a deal with We Buy Cars.

I e never had such a terrible experience before.

We Buy Cars Germiston sold me a BMW 116i with a major oil leak that they knew about but wrongfully listed as an "A" car that is eligible for Bank finance and is a car in good condition. It turned out that this was a big lie on the part of the salesperson Salwin and the FnI Ceilia.

The vehicle was 5 months away from death and indeed 5 months later the engine didn't start up, was seized and is said to have been starved of oil. The warranty refused to pay to fix the car because the issue had been there for long before I picked up the car and it does not cover oil leaks (imagine that).

I got in touch with We Buy Cars customer care and a very nice agent named Etnee told me there were 3 options for the way forward, either cancellation, repair or replacement. I chose to cancel the deal on the car as it was financed.

They promptly charged me a usage fee of R17,500 and just as I was getting around to agreeing to that they now want me to pay R12,000 for them to go pick up the car at the workshop. The workshop is charging them for inspecting the vehicle and storage and they expect me to pay for both of these charges for a problem that already existed on a car that they deceptively sold me.
