Poor product quality and support on Wahoo indoor trainer

I bought a Wahoo Kickr Core from Cycle lab (South Africa) in June 2019 - R13 500. I used the product for about 6 years and then the unit developed a fault - the flywheel flexes causing the drive belt to chafe on the idler roller bracket. Cycle lab does not stand behind the product and refers one to iKhambi Distribution - the local agents. When they referred this to Wahoo HQ they refused any assistance as the unit is a discontinued model......the best that they could do was a 20% discount on a new unit. There is no local repair facility and no spare parts are available. I was "seduced" into sticking to Wahoo because of the discount - equivalent smart trainers are also not cheap. Upon receiving the new Kickr Core, to my dismay, the calibration on the unit is significantly different to the old one. I cycle extensively on Zwift and was a C graded rider, now I battle to keep up with the D riders. I sent the unit back to iKhambi for testing and they insist that there is nothing wrong with the calibration! I cannot believe that the calibration on the faulty unit was incorrect as the stats generated on Zwift were similar to what I was achieving riding my road bike outdoors.
