NEVER BUY FROM GOLDWAGEN
Dear Sir/Madam,
I trust this letter finds you well.
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment with the recent experience we had with your company, specifically regarding the product purchased from Goldwagen Wierda Park, receipt number ***0, for a Ford Figo.
On the 8th of February 2024, we acquired a water bottle and cap from your establishment. Upon installation, we conducted thorough testing, including a pressure test, to ensure that the system was free of leaks and functioning correctly. The vehicle was in perfect condition when it left our workshop with the newly fitted water bottle and cap.
However, on the 3rd of May 2024, a mere 2 months and 13 days later, we received a distressing call from the driver of the vehicle. The car had overheated and was unable to start, prompting us to tow it to our workshop. Upon inspection, we discovered that the brand-new water bottle supp**** by Goldwagen Wierda Park was cracked and leaking water from multiple places.
We promptly initiated the claim process by contacting Goldwagen Wierda Park and completing the necessary claim form. We provided the cracked water bottle and cap as evidence. Despite the significant damage caused to the vehicle due to the faulty part, we were informed by Goldwagen Head Office Claims Department that your company is only willing to replace or refund the water bottle and cap. Goldwagen refuses to accept any responsibility for the repairs required to rectify the damages, which we find completely unacceptable.
It is inconceivable that a water bottle and cap would fail within such a short period unless there were inherent quality issues or a factory defect. Regardless of the cause, the supplier should not only take responsibility for replacing the damaged part but also cover the costs of any associated repairs. In this case, the vehicle has suffered a blown head gasket due to the water bottle leaking in multiple places. It is the supplier's responsibility to cover all repair costs and address the issue with the manufacturer or warehouse from which the part was sourced.
We have had a similar experience with a Ford Fiesta in the past, and the supplier in that instance took full responsibility for all repair costs associated with the damaged part. We fail to understand why Goldwagen is unwilling to do the same. Merely refunding or replacing the water bottle and cap is inadequate and amounts to daylight *******, considering that we did not manufacture the part but only fitted it.
As a result of this unsatisfactory experience and your company's refusal to take responsibility for the damages caused by your product, we have decided that our workshop will no longer conduct any business with any Goldwagen branch in the future. Furthermore, we intend to share our negative experience dealing with Goldwagen with our network, advising them to avoid conducting any business with your company due to your lack of accountability for faulty parts supp****.
This experience has been the worst service encounter we have ever encountered in South Africa, and we sincerely hope that steps will be taken to rectify this situation promptly.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution.
