VR Travelcations
Based on recent customer reviews, VR Travelcations is widely praised for delivering memorable international and regional getaways, with travellers consistently mentioning well planned itineraries, attentive hosts, and engaging tour guides across destinations like Bali, Istanbul, Lesotho, and Southern African circuits. A recurring theme is the warmth and helpfulness of drivers and co-hosts who ease border crossings and logistics. However, some customers describe disappointing group experiences, citing dated transport and accommodation, communication gaps, and concerns around tour guide conduct, suggesting consistency across all packages remains an area to strengthen.

Before we booked the Lesotho trip I specifically asked for the hotel details, so that I could book with a group staying close to AfriSki. They sent pictures of a hotel that was close to Afriski. When we were on the trip we ended up staying at a hotel that was 5 hours away. The people who were tasked to guide the trip did not handle conflicts among people well. They did not communicate timelines with us clearly. At one point the bus was stuck on the side of the road. Then only later when they realised we missed the hotel dinner - they tell us to get our own meals. I had no issue with getting my own meal but because we were part of a large group we had to wait a long time for our food. When we eventually got our food we were blamed for being late. We spent more time in the bus and on the road than on any of the activities were supposed to be doing. From the numbers we had I think they overbooked the trip to the point that they had more people than they could manage. It was an awful experience and I would not recommend them to anyone I know.

We traveled with VR travelcations as a group of four ladies. We anticipated that this would be a group travel but not so many people we encountered. 1. The bus we used was outdated and not comfortable at all. 2. The hotel was outdated and I won't even talk about the horrible service from staff who did not try to help as they couldn't speak English and worse the breakfast we received was honestly the worst 3. The hosts don't communicate properly, we were hungry and were told can't assist as we were running behind for the boat cruise 4. The border situation was also bad, please explain why we were running around trying to find where we should go and almost got ****med with buying sim cards because they didn't give us a proper talk about how and where to get sim cards I just wish they could have considered us as their clients and have better communication because we really didn't expect some of the bad things to happen if they spoke to us before hand I asked questions months ahead and their response was basic so I took their word and didn't worry much about taking out cash, maybe carrying food to eat so I didn't have to be hungry for breakfast and going to islands where our alcohol wasn't allowed even though I asked them and they said yes Please next time stop rushing to get money by booking big groups and not sticking to the best experience you give all your other trips I see on social media Mozambique wasn't a nice experience for us at all and we honestly did try to enjoy but it left a bitter taste

Moderate package, if you’re a woman traveling with them I suggest that you be highly alert and conscious of the tour guides that are EXTREMELY flirtatious and May take advantage of one’s naivety.

I did the 3 Countries African countries tour - Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Communication needs to be improved. All cost expenses be advised. Prior to travel there must be an elaborate tips for travel. The tour guide - Tevin was awesome however in this trip his communication was overided by other people which caused confusion and conflict amongst people. Thanks to the efforts Tevin put to accommodate a successful vacation. I will be using your company again. Thank you.
