Waiting on Important Information & a "Funny" way to Conduct Business
So in March 2018, I signed up with Vox for 20/20Mbps Uncaped Fat Pipe Fibre Bundle - Month to Month. This runs smoothly from April 2018 till May 2019, when I get a notification that my Upload Speed will remain at 20Mbps, but my Download Speed will be REDUCED to 2Mbps without any reduction or compensation in my monthly payment! Apparently this was due to Frogfoot.....bla bla bla....... Vox, I did not sign up for a 20/2 Package!
To make things worse, a month later, I receive a marketing call from VOX offering me a 20/20 Up & DownLoad Speed for an additional R30.00 per month. I informed the caller of my grievance, but it seems as if I was talking to a wall because nothing came from that conversation..... My contract was for 20/20 and not 20/2, why the hell do you now want to charge me an extra R30.00 per month, just to get what I initially signed up for! Vox broke our agreement and now you want to charge me (and many other consumers probably) extra money, just to get exactly what I signed up for in the first place! WHAT A SCHEME!!!
Anyway, be it as it may, the straw that broke the camels back: Besides the above grievance that I have been dragging along with me for the past few months, I have been having endless hassles with emails not getting delivered over the past two weeks and now it has deteriorated to a stage where I am not able to even send emails out for the past six (6) days using SMTP.VOXTELECOM.CO.ZA. After spending hours and hours on the phone with your Support Centre, your technical teams are just not able to sort it out. It seems as if your technical challenges far supersede your ability to resolve important issues.
For these reasons, I am now going to cancel my service agreement with you (VOX). However, I sent an email at 11H04 on 29 Oct 2019 to "***", requesting specific information and I received a reply email from Vox with REFERENCE NUMBER "VOX***8" that Vox will get back to me shortly... - that was the last I heard from Vox for the day. I sent Vox a reminder email at 16H14 that I am still waiting on a reply from them, but I still did not get feedback on the information I requested, which was the following: "Good Day, I am thinking of cancelling the service that I am receiving from Vox. Could please let me know what financial implications it will have for me (If Any) and what the costs will be for me, should I cancel with the required 1 months notice, within the next two (2) days? Also, please let me know if there is anything else I need to know (that can adversely affect me, should I cancel your services) prior to submitting my notice to cancel?" ----------------------------------------------
Needless to say and as I expected :-) - It is almost 24 hours later and I still have not received any communication back from VOX - Not sure if I ever will!! It must have been extremely challenging questions I asked!?
Should I not hear back from VOX by end of business today (17H30 on 30 October 2019) I will proceed with my "Online" Cancellation with you (VOX) and I will officially accept that there are NO Costs that I need to pay VOX for terminating my contract/service agreement (within the required 1 Calendar Month Notice) with VOX and that there will be no further adverse implications bestowed on me for doing so. I have done my part, but it seems to be a one-way communication..............
Vox, I strongly urge you to keep things clean and revert to me, so that I can make the right decision prior to submitting my cancellation notice to you!
Vox - Please refer to your Ticket Number Reference of VOX***8 and supply me the information I am entitled to get from you.
I was your Customer. JJ
